We loved seeing everyone this weekend — online and on-site! Feel free to message us during the week if you have any questions.
If you missed this week’s message, or want to hear it again, be sure to check out our SERMONS Page. Messages are generally posted each week by Tuesday afternoon.
Every week, it’s our goal to provide you with some questions to process the message deeper, either personally, or with a small group. Here are some questions for you to consider from this week’s message, “What If”, with Pastor Derick Brown.
KEY SCRIPTURE
Isaiah 55:8-9 NLV
TALK IT OUT
Discuss these questions with someone—maybe a family member, friend, or member of your Connect Group. Use a communication method that works best for your situation.
Start talking.
Find a conversation starter for your group.
- What is the most interesting or shocking thing you’ve ever learned?
- What is the most useless piece of knowledge you possess?
Start thinking.
Ask a question to get your group thinking.
- What would be different today if God were completely knowable and what we currently know of Him was the whole picture?
Start sharing.
Choose a question to create openness.
- What kinds of freedom can you experience from knowing that God is bigger than you can know?
- What types of peace can you live in knowing that God is greater than you can even imagine?
- What level of hope do you have for tomorrow considering that God knows our beginning from the end, and nothing and no-one is hidden from His view?
Start praying.
Be bold and pray with power.
Jesus! Thank you for being You. Thank You for dying for me. Thank You for bringing me to life as You rose from the grave. Help me to live the kind of life that You would have me live. Help me to properly use the gift of freedom You have granted me. Help me to trust in You and have peace in the storm. Help me to have hope for tomorrow because my world is in Your hands.
Amen!
Start doing.
Commit to a step and live it out this week.
- Make a list – physical or mental – of things that are robbing you of freedom, peace, and hope.
- Pray over each item on the list and ask God to remind you of His control over each concern.
- Plan steps you can take each time one of these concerns start to rob you of the gifts Jesus so willingly gave you.
