Shawn is married to his California bride, Kimberly, and is the father of eight: four girls and four sons.
He has been actively involved in student and family ministries for 18 years, a graduate of Christ for the Nation Institute’s Practical Theology program, and the Advanced School of Family Ministry. For nine years, he served as the historic Gateway District of Foursquare’s NextGen Rep, discipling and serving the NextGen pastors in our region.
Shawn was installed as the lead pastor of Destiny in the summer of 2018.
He is a worship leader, musician, and singer/songwriter, playing on stage and in many venues since his early teens. Check out his artist page at ShawnMichael.org.
Shawn loves playing with new technology and is at home in the online world. He is a self-taught graphics artist, videographer, web designer, and communications specialist. He grew up in the church and knew he had a calling on his life from a young age. He has been in ministry his entire adult life and is humbled to get to do so much of what he loves.
