MORE POWER-FULL, Part 1: Seismic Shift

We loved seeing everyone this weekend! Feel free to message us during the week if you have any questions. If you missed this week’s message, or want to hear it again, be sure to check out our SERMONS Page. Messages are generally posted each week by Tuesday afternoon.

Every week, it’s our goal to provide you with some questions to process the message deeper, either personally, or with a small group. Here are some questions for you to consider from this week’s message, “Seismic Shift”, part 1 of the MORE POWER-FULL message series, with Pastor Shawn M. Shoup.

KEY SCRIPTURES

  • Acts 2:1-10, 38-47 TPT

TALK IT OUT

Discuss these questions with someone—maybe a family member, friend, or member of your Connect Group. Use a communication method that works best for your situation.

Start talking.

Find a conversation starter for your group.

  • A lot of people’s allergies have been stirred up with the smoke in the air. Are you one of them? How are you coping with that?

Start thinking.

Ask a question to get your group thinking.

  • When you think about the Holy Spirit described as a “mighty rushing wind” what qualities do you think about?
  • Have you ever noticed the wind of the Holy Spirit in your sails? What happened? Share your experience.

Start sharing.

Choose a question to create openness.

  • Have you yearned for the kind of urgency that the Holy Spirit equipped the Acts 2 church with? What do you think it would look like?
  • Do you see that inertia in your life now? In your family’s life?
  • Do you think reformation revival can happen, right now, in our region? What needs to happen?

Start praying.

Be bold and pray with power.

God, I thank You for the gift of Holy Spirit. Come and fill me. Empower me. And send me out to do what only You can do through me. I’m ready!

Amen and amen.

Start doing.

Commit to a step and live it out this week.

The church will not experience the fullness of the move of Holy Spirit at the expense of you having a place in the move of God. Consider your place. Where is it? Are you functioning within the community of believers at Destiny? Take some steps this week to find your place.
