Worship January 8, 2023, With Pastor Brent Parker

Worship January 8, 2023, With Pastor Brent Parker

We loved seeing everyone this weekend! Feel free to message us during the week if you have any questions. If you missed this week’s message, or want to hear it again, check out our SERMONS Page. Messages are generally posted each week by Tuesday afternoon.

Every week, we aim to provide you with some questions to process the message deeper, either personally or with a small group. Here are some questions for you to consider from the message “Worship of the Heart” with Pastor Brent Parker.

KEY SCRIPTURE

  • Ephesians 3:7

TALK IT OUT

Discuss these questions with someone—maybe a family member, friend, or member of your Connect Group. Use a communication method that works best for your situation.

START TALKING

Find a conversation starter.

  • How is your New Year going thus far?
  • Where is God in your resolutions, if you made any?
  • What are you hoping for or expecting to happen this year?

START THINKING

Ask a question to get you/your group thinking.

  • Is God calling you from or to something? What might it be?
  • Are you setting aside time for God or trying to squeeze him into your schedule?
  • How are you experiencing God?

START SHARING

Choose a question to create openness.

  • Have you asked God what He would like to do in or through your life this week/month/year?
  • Have you reviewed what God has done in and through your life?
  • How has God changed your life?

START PRAYING

Be bold and pray with power.

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this new year with all of its possibilities. Show me where you are working so I can join you. Enable me to see how you worked in my past so I can thank you and see where you are now and will be in my future.

Amen.

START DOING

Commit to a step and live it out this week.

  1. Ask God what he sees for this year?
  2. Pray for Shawn, Deanna, and family.
  3. Set aside time to be with God and see what happens.
  4. Describe what God’s presence is like using your 5 senses.
  5. Take note of to whom you go when facing problems and where God is in this process.
  • Pick one or two of those options and take steps to walk them out this week.
