Destiny is planning to give back to the community that we love so much.
And you can be a part! We are going to assemble and distribute Thanksgiving meal boxes, to be given out the week before Thanksgiving.
HERE’S HOW YOU CAN BE INVOLVED:
- NOMINATE: Nominate those you think would benefit from a box full of food with fixings for a full Thanksgiving dinner feast! We will need pertinent information about your nominees: full name, email address, and phone number. Send your suggestions to email@example.com.
- DONATE: Our outreach team has already acquired enough food to fill 24 boxes! If you want to donate food or monies to help cover additional costs, we will be collecting the following items through Sunday, November 14 (see below). Your donations can be dropped off at the office any time during regular office hours (Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.).
- DECORATE AND ASSEMBLE: You can help us put the boxes together and prepare for distribution on the evening of Wednesday, November 17, starting at 6:30 pm. All our Wednesday evening groups are invited to participate.
- DISTRIBUTE: Distribution will be on Saturday, November 20 from 10:00 to noon. If you want to be here to help hand out the boxes as families come to pick them up, connect with the Outreach Team to sign up!
Here are the items we are collecting for each box:
- Whole turkey
- Canned cranberries
- Boxed instant potatoes
- Canned veggies
- Boxed stuffing
- Gravy packets
- Frozen pies/Cakes
