My Grace Is Enough: Going Deeper Questions

We loved seeing everyone this weekend! Feel free to message us during the week if you have any questions.

If you missed this week’s message, or want to hear it again, be sure to check out our SERMONS Page. Messages are generally posted each week by Tuesday afternoon.

Every week, it’s our goal to provide you with some questions to process the message deeper, either personally, or with a small group. One option: join us on Wednesday nights at the Destiny office building for the GOING DEEPER Connect Group.

Here are some questions for you to consider from this week’s message, “My Grace Is Enough”, with Jim Waldrop.

TALK IT OUT

Discuss these questions with someone—maybe a family member, friend, or member of your Connect Group. Use a communication method that works best for your situation.

Start talking.

Find a conversation starter for your group.

  • If you could have dinner with any two people – living or dead – who would you choose?

Start thinking.

Ask a question to get your group thinking.

  • Jim shared that when things like 9/11 or Pearl Harbor or 2020 shake us up, we tend to come out of that shaking. We tend to revert to normal. Why do you think it is that humanity so quickly “reverts back to normal” so quickly after being shaken?
  • Jim also talked about the Navy Seal process of breaking down a person to find out what they’re made of. What are some benefits of allowing God to bring us to a place where we are raw, real, and maybe dirty?

Start sharing.

Choose a question to create openness.

  • What are some little things (or some bigger things) you can focus on to remind you of who God is?
  • What are some ways a person can “make their worship bigger than their worry”?
  • How can you “make your prayer be bigger than your fear”?

Start praying.

Be bold and pray with power.

Father. I recognize you as Father in my life. You have good plans for me. You are taking me somewhere good. I know there might be side-trips along the way. I know that I don’t know everything, but I do know I can trust You. Help me to trust You more.

Amen.

Start doing.

Commit to a step and live it out this week.

  • Each day this week, take some time to look for something – big or small – that reminds you who God is and how much He loves you and how much He is in control.
  • Then, with those things in mind, take some time to thank God for those things as He renews your mind and strength.
